What will my visit be like?

20 minute new consultations are always free.

Your first visit is about one hour. You will talk about your health history, receive a physical exam, and order labs if necessary. We will put together an initial treatment plan.

On the second visit (about an hour), we will go over your labs, talk about how initial treatments are going, and discuss your long range plan.

Other services include acute care, counseling, craniosacral therapy, detox consultations, heavy metal detoxification, and weight loss plans.

Follow up visits occur as needed- usually every few months.

You will receive a written treatment plan and handouts during your visits. It is best to keep these in the folder we provide you so that you can refer to them.

Referrals will be made appropriately for allopathic specialty care, massage, chiropractic, etc.

Payment: cash, check, credit, debit, or PayPal. Please make checks payable to Pure Wellness Centers

Insurance: We will bill your insurance company on your behalf. Before your first visit, we strongly recommend that you consult directly with your insurance carrier or with the Human Resource person at your job. Ask them if your specific plan covers naturopathy and if Thomas Ballard, ND or Candace McNaughton, ND are covered providers.

While there is no guarantee that your plan includes naturopathic coverage, here is a list of insurance companies who have covered our services in the past: Aetna, Cigna, Great West, Group Health, Premera Blue Cross, Regence, Uniform and Lifewise.

If your plan does not include us in network, most plans will reimburse for services at out-of-network level, which is anywhere from 50-80%. Just submit a receipt with the proper codes to your insurance company.

Labs: For labs, you will go to the LabCorp patient center at 17th and Jefferson. For some labs, LabCorp will send your sample out. All LabCorp labs will be billed to your insurance by LabCorp and are usually paid because the requisition form has codes which indicate medical necessity. Other labs are not usually paid for by insurance, but can provide valuable information.
